Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the LibraryCaptain app and website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

LibraryCaptain is a tool for library and study hall owners to manage seats, members, subscriptions, payments and invoices. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Your account

• You must give accurate information and keep your password private.
• You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by staff you add.
• You must verify your email address to use the service.

Your data and your members

You own the data you enter. You confirm that you have the right to store your members' details in LibraryCaptain, and that you will use the app lawfully. We process this data only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Plans and payment

• Free trial: new libraries get a 1-month trial with all features. No payment is needed.
• Growth: a paid plan, billed for 1 or 3 months at the prices shown in the app.
• Pro: a custom plan for larger venues, at a price agreed with us, with a minimum monthly fee.
• Payment is made by UPI. A paid plan is activated after we confirm the payment, and runs for the period you paid for.
• Prices may change. A change does not affect a period you have already paid for.

When a plan ends

When your trial or paid plan ends, your account becomes read-only. Your data is kept, and you can view it, but you cannot add or change anything until you choose a plan.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break into it, overload it, access other libraries' data, or use it for anything unlawful.

Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. We may suspend the service for maintenance.

Ending your account

You can stop using LibraryCaptain at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Limit of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost income or data, arising from your use of the service. Please keep your own records of anything critical to your business.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms, and will show the new date at the top. Continuing to use the service means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
